040A Racing TV Club Day H'capThe Raceday Stewards received a report from the IHRB Clerk of the Scales, that M.W Hassett, rider of Collective Power, had presented to weigh out at 2lbs overweight, none of which had been declared at declaration time. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had no time to sweat. Edward Lynam, trainer of Collective Power reported that he was happy for M.W. Hassett to retain the ride. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed M.W. Hassett to ride Collective Power on this occasion but they were satisfied that he was in breach of Rule 198(vii)(a) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence), they fined him €150 on this occasion.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Prairie Girl, trained by Daniel James Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
040B View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium M'dnThe Raceday Stewards interviewed P. McGettigan, rider of Battle Borne, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that P. McGettigan was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.
P. McGettigan, rider of Battle Borne, trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around in the straight.
J. Kearney, rider of Je Suis Celebre (GB), trained by Stephen Thorne, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left up the straight.
040C Put The Fun In Fundraising Dundalk HcapR.M Mulligan, rider of Notforalongtime (GB), trained by Laura Hourigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received a bump from his outside after leaving the stalls.
The Raceday Stewards interviewed I. Khan, rider of Lahore Da King, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that I. Khan was in breach of R.10.3(h)(arm above shoulder height) and having considered his record in this regard (fourth offence), they suspended him for ten racedays and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E. for two days tuition on the correct use of the whip.
040D Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) M'dnThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Eclat (GB), trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
J.M. Sheridan, rider of Lady In Gold, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green when he hit the front.
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Merciless, trained by Josh Halley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned left under pressure.
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Vishaya, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got interfered with inside the furlong pole and he had to take a check. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
040E New Saddle Bar At Dundalk Stadium H'capReese Holohan, rider of Moyassr, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount tried to go under the stalls.
040F Irishinjuredjockeys.com H'capThe Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Tyraxes, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
At the request of the Raceday Stewards, J.M. Sheridan, rider of Tyraxes, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that he could offer no explanation for what appeared to be a below par performance.
040G DundalkStadium.com Apprentice H'capR.M Mulligan, rider of My Vonnie, trained by M.M. Rice, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.
J.S. Dalton, rider of Cowzer Soze, trained by Andrew Slattery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.
P.A. Harnett, rider of Imperial Fighter, trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was very slowly away.
